…freedom from the restrictions of ink

Nobody but me, it seems,
Wants poetry that’s too cryptic
Or too quick –
Too Supermodern
Or too slick.

Radio Four wants more
“Hmm, I’m not sure –
How can one really delineate
The difference in praxis?”

I’ll give you deference
in a minute, mate.

But that’s my trouble, see?

Worked in these inkings[sic]
Is the keyboard
Not the finger nor the pen.

Our new Outlook
Of 2010
Is freedom from the
Restrictions of ink.

Just think of what poetry is written
by hands that can type at 107 w.p.m
