Freed Speech – Thursday, 30th September

Seeing as how I’m helping organise it, I think I can offer an online exclusive!

The online exclusive is the lovely invite I’ve had to sign off on – an early version of which can be found here. It has a couple of spelling mistakes and isn’t the final version but, hey, it’s close enough considering it’s an exclusive. 🙂

Here’s the official blurb:

A joint event with Modern Poetry in Translation and Amnesty International taking place at 7.00pm on Thurs 30 Sept, and featuring poetry about being a refugee or asylum seeker. Presented by David and Helen Constantine from MPT and featuring the poet and novelist and musician Amit Chaudhuri, and the poets and translators Bernard O’Donoghue, Jamie McKendrick and Carole Satyamurti, together with other special guests.

FREE of charge but please RSVP to secure your place.
Email or write to Poet in the City c/o News International, 1 Pennington Street, London E98 1ST
