Dear Mr. Mandelson,
Please, with respect, I’m appealing to your sense of rationality and logic: to introduce the digital bill you propose, not only disregards due process, but also possibilities for the future.
Please reconsider making the Digital Economy Bill law.
Have you asked Tony Blair’s children where they get their music from? Or the information they process everyday? Or, alternatively, if you’d rather a more politically recognised demographic, did you know that the White House is slowly changing all its governance systems to Open Source? What this means is that, without pear to peer file sharing, the US Government would, one day, not be able to run.
If the certainly conservative American government can accept Open Source softwares and conduct good debate on fair-rights-usage, surely we should be able to also.
Thank you for your time.
