On garrulity

Up until today, I didn’t know that the magpie is:

the symbol of garrulity. It was sacred to Bacchus, the God of wine, so it became associated with intoxication.

Or that it saved a tribe by it’s clever-clever, inked-in ways.

I think it’s fitting that a bird I’ve known all my life as ‘Good morning, Mr Magpie, sir…’ and a totem of mis/fortune is also a writer, a guide, an eloquent trickster.

Thanks, Wisdom Portal.

Full disclosure and a quick puff, puff, peace (sic), this is related to the work I’m doing for Nut Films.
